Memories of Lake Geneva

For over 50 years Lake Geneva, WI was the home for the encampment offering families a week of spiritual and physical renewal. We've collected many written memories from attendees. Here are their thoughts...

Lake Geneva has always been a life changing event for me. We first attended in 1973 to hear Landon Saunders speak. That year it rained everyday and was very cold. We met in Mable Cratty Hall and needed a fire in the fire placee in order to be comfortable. However, physical comfort was not foremost in my mind. My full attention was on the message the speakers brought from God's Word. That year I learned that I was okay -- that I was saved -- that God loved me and I didn't have to earn my salvation. It was a life changing event!

We have attended every year since except one due to scheduling problems. No matter who the speakers have been, I always come away filled and renewed in the arms of Jesus. Giod's Word truly is new every morning.

When I think of Lake Geneva and the beauty of God's creation in that place, I always remember it's a wonderful place of respite and growth in Jesus for me.
