Memories of Lake Geneva
For over 50 years Lake Geneva, WI was the home for the encampment offering families a week of spiritual and physical renewal. We've collected many written memories from attendees. Here are their thoughts...
Over the last 45 years, we have many wonderful memories of Lake Geneva. Our children grew up as we came here over the years. It was their favorite place to be. We always stayed in the least expensive housing, beginning with the tents, graduating to the Breezeways (both facilities long ago torn down) then to the Lake Front Villas to the Lockport, then to Coffman. We met in Lear's Auditorium in the early years and who can forget the racoon who ran along the rafter over the heads of the speakers one evening?
Lear's Auditorium is gone as are other buildings, but two things never changed; the spiritual revival we experience each year and the wonderful people we have met. Lake Geneva we're going to miss you.
